Bluebonnet Squares is a square dance club in Houston, Texas.  Organized in 1979, the club has approximately 120 members, 70 to 90 of whom attend each Monday night, making us one of the largest square dance clubs in Texas.  The Bluebonnet Squares hosts local, regional, and national callers.  Wayne Morvent, our club caller, is a caller coach with international experience.  Wayne calls for Bluebonnet Squares  twice a month.  We also host other local, regional, and national callers.  As a member of the Houston Square and Round Dance Council the Bluebonnets exchange visits with other square dance clubs several times a month.

Visitation Schedule

 

Members enjoy getting to know their fellow square dancers and dancers from other clubs through visitations several times a month, as well as weekend square dance festivals.

Square Dance Lessons are scheduled annually

*       Basic, Mainstream and Plus Square Dance lessons are

    Tuesday nights beginning September, 2008

    Time 7:30 – 9:30 P.M.

*       Line dancing will be taught (for the ones interested)

    before square dance lessons, starting at 7:15 P.M.

Partner is required.
