is the HSRDC’s annual Hoedown, and it looks like it is shaping up as a great
time to get together with fellow Bluebonnet Squares’ members.
In the past, this weekend has been very enjoyable, and this year should
be just as much fun. It is a time
to get out of town - but not a long drive – just to

early on Friday, you will have
the afternoon to visit the shops on the Strand in

The
Bluebonnets and the Hey
Lollies are going to bring snacks for the
After Party on Friday night.
The
Bluebonnets are bringing “sweets” and the Hey Lollies are bringing
“salty” snacks.
Please bring your food (minimum
of 3 – 4 dozen of whatever you
choose) to the restaurant adjacent
to the Inn at the
Bob & I will bring the paper goods.
Bill and Elaine
Harbour
are going to select a place for us to eat dinner as a group Friday evening.
Time and location will be announced before we go.
We will have plenty of time to eat and return to our rooms to change
clothes and get ready to go square dancing.
Friday night,
the rounds begin at 7:00 p.m. and square dancing begins at 7:30 p.m.
The callers will be from the Houston Callers Association.
Probably it will be Mainstream with announced Plus squares.
The After Party begins immediately
following the dance at 10:30 p.m.
There will be plenty of seating inside and outside on the deck.
The Bluebonnets always enjoys this time to just relax and visit with each
other. (You can change clothes if
you wish before you come but hurry.)
On Saturday
morning, you can dance any level you wish.
Line dancing, Rounds, Intro to Advanced, Mainstream and Plus will be
offered beginning at 9:00 a.m.
During the lunch break, Wayne Morvent will lead Dance By Definition which is
Plus but from all positions. There
will be a style show at 12:30p.m.
Saturday evening
dancing will begin with exhibitions at 6:30p.m. and Jerry Story will be calling
the dance.
There will be an After Party following
Saturday night’s dance in the same location as Friday night’s party only we
DO NOT have to take a single thing.
All of the other HSRDC clubs will furnish the snacks for this party.
Please pick up that phone, call and make your motel reservations today.
Please sign the sheet Monday night so we will know what you plan to bring for a
snack on Friday night.
