Definitions of
Square Dance Calls and Concepts
From time to time it
is never a bad idea to review the calls on all levels that you dance to
help you become a
better dancer. Several web sites are
listed for your convenience.
http://www.tamtwirlers.org/tamination/ms/index.html
This
site provides definitions and animation of all square dance calls. Click on the level of calls you wish to
review and then select the specific call of your choice. You can read the definition and then observe
the figures move through the steps. Read
the “TAMination Controls and Display” section and
“Special Features” section before you begin reviewing the calls to make it
easier for you.
http://www.ceder.net/def.php4
This site rates in-between the great animated pages and the Caller
Lab pages. You can easily print the
definition of any call on this site.
Notice the little printer icon in the upper right of the screen when you
are ready to print.
http://www.callerlab.org/programs/home.asp
This site is the “manual” which the callers compile and
follow. Therefore, it is very current
definitions of the calls from Basic, Mainstream, Plus and higher levels. This site is all text and can be printed one
page, specific pages, or all pages for easy reference.
